Physical Properties

Field Uses:
Bentonite Extender is used to increase viscocity of bentonite at the job sit. The amount of viscocity generated will depend on the amount of bentoniute and drill solids contain in thedrilling fluid.
Plant Uses:
Bentonite Extender usually added right before the mill to ensure proper mixing of the polymer with the proper ore. Evenly mixed ore with extender will result in meeting API specifications for minimum yield.Reguler dosage rate for this application is normally between 0.25-1.0. pound of Extender per ton of bentonite ore.
Bentonite Extender Exhibits a low order of toxycity. However, Precautions should be taken to avoid inhalation, ingestion, or contact with skin and eyes.For additional information, see the appropreate MSDS.
